The Dynasty of Lao concept came about as a way to share information on interesting people, places and things that might not actually be right in your own back yard.  About 10% of this content will be personal musings, and the rest is a grab bag with features sometimes pertaining to the most interesting and coolest city on earth, Los Angeles, as well as what's going on in the world.  The site is meant to be eclectic, broadening, nostalgic and maybe a learning experience, but most of all, fun.  Pop culture, current events, etc.  I hope you enjoy your stay and come back as often as you can.

THE SANTA YNEZ VALLEY JOURNAL is the official newspaper of the Santa Ynez Valley, which consists of the small towns of Solvang, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Ballard and Buellton.  The Valley lies 30 minutes north of Santa Barbara and is the home of many award winning wineries.  With it's charming towns, western ambience and sprawling throughbred horse ranches, its the perfect place to vacation and just relax.  Solvang is the "Danish Capital of America" and is very popular with tourists.  The wonderful wine, art galleries, excellent restaurants and interesting shops make this a great destination any time of year, especially for a weekend getaway.
