The Dynasty of Lao concept came about as a way to share information on interesting people, places and things that might not actually be right in your own back yard.  About 10% of this content will be personal musings, and the rest is a grab bag with features sometimes pertaining to the most interesting and coolest city on earth, Los Angeles, as well as what's going on in the world.  The site is meant to be eclectic, broadening, nostalgic and maybe a learning experience, but most of all, fun.  Pop culture, current events, etc.  I hope you enjoy your stay and come back as often as you can.

"Someone had said, and Wilhelm agreed with the saying, that in Los Angeles all the loose objects in the country were collected, as if America had been tilted and everything that wasn't tightly screwed down had slid into Southern California."

WHERE IS MICHAEL JACKSON GOING TO BE BURIED?

Last night, as is my custom, I took Forest Lawn Drive home from work.  I began to approach Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery, when I noticed a bunch of news trucks lined up on the road in front of the mortuary.

This could only mean one thing: MJ is on ice, there.

With the Neverland plans changed, and the public memoria being swtiched to Staples Center in Downtown L.A., it makes sense that he'd be stored at this location.  He's in good company; camping out with the likes of Bette Davis, Liberaci, Stan Laurel, Kojack and Ricky Nelson, among the countless other Hollywood famous.

As rumors circulate about where exactly his burial will be, there's talk about him being interred at this location.

I have problems with that.

I take Forest Lawn Drive for my daily commute to and from work in order to avoid the freeway, which snakes along side it.  It's also a beautiful drive as you work your way along the edge of Griffith Park.  If MJ was to be planted there, my life would turn into a living hell as the flock of MJ faithful would be streaming into the cemetery 360 days a year.  Instant Graceland.

I'm rather an expert on Forest Lawn.  My mom worked there for over 35 years and I practically grew up in the Glendale park.  One thing is for certain; I doubt very seriously if the self proclaimed King of Pop is buried there.  Forest Lawn doesn't relish in that kind of publicity and the last thing the Blessed Reverend would want is to turn his perfectly manicured grounds of peace into a circus-type atmosphere.

It will be interesting how all this plays out.  I for one, vote for Gary, Indiana, so I can make my commute in peace.

The dead need there rest, too.

RIP MJ!!! The world lost one of its great artists! Watching his videos and listening to his songs again these days I realised how great he was! A true artist and a special person!
